If you missed my User Info details, let me explain a little about myself.  My name is Katie Forrest and I'm a 21 year old independent Mannatech Associate based in Nottinghamshire, England.  I became involved with Mannatech when a friend recommended I try their nutritional products.  I had been ill for almost seven years with a severe, recurrent water infection.  My condition had the doctors baffled.  Every antibiotic they gave me had no effect, every scan and x-ray I had showed me to be perfectly healthy.  My life revolved around wasting whole weeks of my life when the infection flared up, until October 2005 when things got even worse.  

I was, by then, used to the infection and accepted it as an unpleasant - but unchangeable - aspect of my life.  At some point in October I fell ill and yet again was forced to take time off work.  At that time I worked as a legal secretary.  The difference between this bout of illness and all of the others before it was that this time it didn't wear off.  I was left in constant pain, day in and day out, for almost a year.  I was referred to hospital several times for x-rays, ultrasounds, a cystoscopy.  I had countless urine and blood samples.  Sometimes the tests would show an infection, but the prescribed treatments had no effect.  At other times my test results would return perfectly normal.  My GP, and the hospital staff, were lost for ideas.  

The infection began affecting wider areas of my life.  The pain would fluctuate from day to day, but over a period of time began to limit what I could do.  I was forced out of work and onto Incapacity Benefit - incapacitated at the age of 21! - and could just walk to the end of the street on a good day.  If I became stressed or upset the infection would flare up and I would spend the next week bedridden.  If I drank alcohol the pain was increased.  I was constantly tired, lethargic, and emotional.  I began to sink into depression - I had lost contact with most of my friends, I had lost the social skills to talk to my family, I was surviving on a ridiculously low amount of Benefit income.  In October 2005 I had had everything going for me.  I was working full-time, I was young, happy, popular.  I had just begun a law degree.  The illness had transformed me into a nervous, constantly tired, recluse.

And then a friend recommended to my partner Steve that I try Mannatech.  I rolled my eyes.  I had tried everything!  Nettle tea, drinking increased amounts of water, drinking cranberry juice, taking cranberry tablets, cystitis creams and tablets, various antibiotics, long-term use of low dose antibiotics, hot baths, cold baths, heat packs, ice packs - NOTHING WORKED!  I'm not ashamed to say I only began taking Mannatech products to keep Steve happy.  I was convinced that they wouldn't help. 

I have been taking the products for two months now and swear by them.  I have been ill less often than I can remember for a long time, and I have more energy and motivation.  Steve is also taking the products and while he has no illness, he was very lethargic and tired.  He has had an incredible increase in energy and has lost almost a stone in weight.

I became an independent Mannatech Associate because I believe in the products Mannatech sells and the integrity of the company.  I have hope for a completely normal, healthy life - and that hope is thanks to Mannatech.  I also hope to be able to provide an acceptable income from being self-employed - and that hope is thanks to Mannatech.  I now have the energy to focus on what were 'hobbies' and escapes from daytime TV and turn them into businesses.  Being a Mannatech Associate allows me to tell people about the products and the effect they have had on my life.  I am proud of this opportunity to introduce other people to this exciting way of becoming healthier and working towards financial freedom.

Directly from their website, www.mannatech.com or by dialling Freephone 0800 028 6073 - however, in order to purchase the products you need to have been referred by an Associate such as myself.  To identify which Associate referred you, you must enter their reference number.  Mine is 40256 for website orders or, for telephone orders, R40256.

This will allow you to purchase the products at retail price.  

To qualify for a 5% discount on all of your Mannatech purchases, you can register as a Member.  Membership costs £7, unless a product is ordered at the time of registration and then the fee is waived.

Members can increase their discount to 10% by placing a Gold Automatic Order.  This is a commitment by a Member to order products each month using a direct debit scheme.  This saves Members the trouble of remembering to re-order products and avoids any running out of products.  

Members are not Associates and cannot benefit from selling Mannatech products.

How do I become an independent Mannatech Associate?

To become an Associate you will need to find an existing Associate to be your 'upline'.  This Associate has a responsibility to assist you in adapting to your new business and encouraging you along the way.  The existing Associate must complete your registration for you.
